Drupal Camp LA 2016

Calling all Drupal enthusiasts! Drupal Camp LA will take over UC Irvine on August 27 and 28!

The conference, which is free and run by volunteers, is an opportunity for Drupal users of skill levels and backgrounds to come together and learn from each other. Some sessions are geared toward covering the basics for Drupal beginners, while others are designed to showcase innovative and creative ideas for professionals.

DrupalCamp LA has been held every year since 2007, and at UC Irvine since 2009, and the camp has drawn more than 450 people in previous years

Unlike a traditional conference, Drupal Camp session topics are determined based on community interest and advance sign-ups. Attendees are encouraged to visit the website to pick the sessions they are interested in, and the schedule of sessions that make the cut will be released in the days prior to DrupalCamp. Potential sessions include:

  • Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) in practice
  • Story mapping
  • Lightning talk smackdown
  • Value-driven development with “agile discovery”
  • Quick and easy visual regression testing
  • Learn the new things in Drupal 8 via debugging
  • Drupal 8 SEO - 12 essential modules and configurations
  • Responsive images in Drupal

Screencasts are offered on the website for many of the sessions, as well as sessions from previous camps. This year’s camp will run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (tentatively) August 27 and 28. For more information, visit the website.
